Last Day of School Celebration and Summer Learning Kickoff! LIBRARIES ROCK!!
Celebrate the last day of school in the CCPL Teen Room. Incoming 7th graders, as well as all students in grades 7-12, are invited to enjoy snacks and music performed by local band Natives of Nowhere (formerly The Hold Up).
This event will also kick off CCPL's Libraries Rock! Teen Summer Learning • Teens are invited to learn ways your library rocks by reading had hanging out at their library this summer. Read whatever you want; each 500 pages or 5 hours you track will earn a prize, plus a chance to win one of our grand prize baskets. Stop by the Teen Room to get a bingo sheet, then start reading!
Activities • Stop by the Teen Room weekday afternoons for a variety of activities, from drop in crafts in our Maker’s Space to experimenting with movie making technology, 3D printer pens and a 3D printer.

The 2018 "Feet Don't Fail Me Now" series kicks off with the McDonald's Spring Zinger 5K on Saturday, May 19. Race starts at 7:15 a.m. from a new location at the Westover Road McDonald's. Preregister by Wednesday, May 16. Registration options are without a shirt=$8, with a shirt =$15, or kids fun run=$6. Race day fees are higher.

Creative Work: Artists’ Roundtable Explores the Art/Work Connection!
Our nation has a long history of valuing hard work and providing opportunities for workers to pursue their dreams. On May 23rd, the Rockpile Museum invites you to a discussion by local artists that explores the melding of art and work. Several local artists will share how they have integrated their artistic passions into their lives as a profession or essential avocation. The one-hour program, Artists’ Roundtable: Creative Work, will begin at 5:30 PM at the Rockpile Museum and is held in association with the traveling Smithsonian exhibition, The Way We Worked.
The Way We Worked has been made possible in Campbell County by Wyoming Humanities. This exhibition was created by the National Archives and is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils nationwide. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress.
